If you can get past theĀ typical shit NY Times journalism and read the real content two kids, young adults really, had all government funding for Acorn halted because of some undercover video work they did and viral video that got to the right people in the right places.
And so you don’t have to read the Times bullshit heres the link to the site that started it all.

the sheer arrogance in that article is just disgusting. its slant is frighteningly disturbing. love the fact that he bashes fox and the amateurs for questioning and president and supportive organizations. guess we are all just suppose to follow along like mindless drones in that writers mind. <_<
At the risk of looking like a mindless drone… you might want to understand the larger picture of what our government currently funds, and does not.We currently cut off funding to an organization (acorn) who does not condone the actions of a very select few of its members who were found to be suggesting a means to break the law, not even breaking it themselves. As for actually breaking the law… we are currently not cutting off funding to an organization (Haliburton), who does condone, as company policy, that all members will sign a "you can't sue if raped, beaten, etc" release form. Imagine getting that paper to sign along with your I-9. A woman has already fallen victim to this restrictive document after being raped. So you'll pardon me if I don't get worked up over there being a rotten apple in the acorn barrel, when the psycho-christian, private military entities like haliburton and blackwater are off waging holy wars, raping, pillaging, and not being held to anything even resembling accountable, all the while being paid with my tax dollars, through government contracts. What is shameful is not that article, nor acorn itself, but that there is no article in the mainstream media pointing to the actual criminals our tax dollars are funding.
I completely understand with that your saying. Especially your last statement. The mainstream media is and continues to be very irritating in this manner.
Matthew: Very inspiring. Thanks for writing that.
